Munaf A Hatem graduated from medical school in 1998 and went on to work in various Iraqi hospitals in orthopaedic programmes. He enrolled in a fellowship and PhD programme at the Medical University of Lodz in the Republic of Poland, and he now practises his specialty in both Oman and Poland. He is a member and follower of many orthopaedic organisations and committees, the majority of which are global, such as AAOS, ESSKA, and SICOT. He is a member of some of these organisations' scientific committees; he recently participated in the first Rheumatology and orthopaedic congress in Spain as keynote speaker and chairman for some sessions, and in Paris as Plenary speaker and chairman for some sessions.
